EastEnders star shares update after recent surgery

EastEnders star Jessie Wallace has provided an update after getting surgery on her foot.

Recognised for playing Kat Slater on and off since 2000, Wallace shared a photo on Instagram over the weekend, which showed her right foot strapped up in a special recovery boot.

This particular procedure replaced damaged joints in her feet with artificial ones.

In the post's comments section, Wallace's East End co-star Shane Richie joked: "After all our years together I never knew that all your piggies literally f***ed off to the market!"

"Good on ya Jessie. I thought it was caused by giving Phil Mitchell an ass kicking," quipped one of her fans, while a second shared: "I have just got out of one of those sandals after recently having bunion surgery! Foot surgery is so painful. Speedy recovery and keep it elevated! X".
