EastEnders star Laila Morse has teased why Big Mo is lying about Kat Slater's death since her return in Albert Square.
The Square's residents have been rocked by news of Kat's tragic demise, following Big Mo's shocking claims that she'd been killed in a boat accident in Ireland, and last night (March 20) saw the Slaters' friends come together to raise the money they needed for Kat's funeral.
This is despite the fact that she's actually alive and well and Morse has given a hint as to why Big Mo is lying.

"Since I've been back, I think Mo's about the same but I think she's got a little bit more devious. She's always a crafty person," she explained. "I do know [why], but I don't know whether I'm supposed to tell you that. But it's not very nice, let's put it that way."
Morse added that Big Mo "likes earning a few quid" and "would go quite a long way to get a few bob", so it could be that she's lying for some kind of monetary gain.
Last night's episode saw Stacey shocked when Jean dropped the bombshell that she'd spoken to Kat earlier that day, meaning that it's becoming increasingly clear that Big Mo is the mastermind behind the scam.
We'll have to wait until tomorrow night (March 22) to get the full story regarding Kat and what exactly Big Mo has been up to.
