Stars from EastEnders, Love Island, Strictly Come Dancing, and more are all set to appear in Channel 4's brand new reality TV show Scared of the Dark.

Former EastEnders actor Danny Dyer is hosting the competition series wherein eight celebrities have to enter The Bunker — which is in complete darkness and is a purpose-built living space with infrared cameras.

The celebrities entering The Bunker are Love Island alum Chloe Burrows, former boxer and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Nicola Adams, former boxer Chris Eubank, ex footballer Paul Gascoigne, comedian Chris McCausland, singer and Strictly star Max George, actress Donna Preston and former Gogglebox star and I'm A Celeb winner Scarlett Moffatt.

The celebs will be kept in the bunker for up to eight days and tasked with staying in as long as possible as they get used to life without light.

They will also have to complete various challenges that will test their fear of the dark or their ability to carry out tasks in the pitch-black. Those that fail at their challenges will have to take on additional tasks to save their place on the show.

However, if the experience is too overwhelming for anyone, the celebrity in question can shout "I'm scared of the dark" and they will be taken out of the bunker. Only one celebrity will be declared the winner come the end of the week.

Speaking about joining the show as host, Danny Dyer said: "This is possibly one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever done in my career, and I have done a lot of mad things.

"Throw in a bunch of celebs and make them do things with the lights off — it’s proper good telly. You’re gonna laugh, you’re gonna laugh some more and I promise you’re gonna love it."
