EastEnders viewers say goodbye to Lauren Branning

EastEnders has aired a farewell for Lauren Branning that brought out a range of emotions in viewers.

Jacqueline Jossa's final scenes aired in a sad episode on Friday (February 16) that revolved around the funeral of her on-screen sister Abi Branning (Lorna Fitzgerald), who was killed off last month.

All this week, viewers have watched Lauren and Abi Branning's father Max (Jake Wood) agonise about being banned from the burial by his vengeful former partner Tanya (Jo Joyner).

Max did ultimately stay away from the funeral because he was allowed to have a private moment to say goodbye to Abi on his own. He also decided to name Abi's daughter after her mum, and vowed to raise her himself.
