Next week on EastEnders: Whitney proposes to Kush, Stacey's exit, plus Frankie falls out with Mick (spoilers)
How will Gray react when Whitney proposes to Kush?
Plus Stacey discovers her fate and Sharon has a brand-new business plan – it’s the week ahead in Walford in this spoiler-filled guide to life on EastEnders 29 March – 2 April 2021.
Whitney proposes to Kush
Whitney is currently in the unenviable position of being transformed by Gray into Chantelle Mark 2. He’ll be seen inviting her to a gala event at work and supplying her with a dress and a bracelet – both of which once belonged to Chantelle.
Pretty soon, Gray (unbeknownst to Whit) is lying to colleagues that the two of them have fallen in love. But Whit (unbeknownst to Gray) is just about to propose marriage to Kush!
Sharon gets physical
I know that EastEnders is providing us with a much-needed escape from our troubles, but its decision to ignore the lockdown is now making it seem as though the drama is taking place on a different planet.

First, the Queen Vic stayed open for business, then we had Kim matchmaking people who, in the real world, wouldn’t be mixing. Now, Sharon is overhearing Peter talking about how lucrative the fitness industry is when, as we all know, UK gyms have been shut for months.
Peter’s words are, though, enough to incentivise Sharon, who puts in a call after noticing that the gym is up for sale. Don’t expect any conversations about bulk-buying face masks or hand sanitiser.
Stacey’s exit
Stacey is about to discover her fate – but not before Lily is found at the bottom of the stairs having knocked herself out. Honestly, can’t a woman pack for prison without the kids getting in the way?
An added distraction comes in the form of Martin, with whom Stacey has a fraught final showdown. But just as panic starts to set in, Jean assures her daughter that she’ll take care of everything at home, giving Stacey time to steady herself, say an emotional goodbye and head off to the hearing with her holdall in hand.
Bumps in the road for Mick and Frankie
Mick is giving Frankie some driving lessons, but it’s looking as though their tentative father-daughter relationship will be just as hard to navigate as London’s streets.

Day one sees the car break down and Mick slapped with a ticket. But an already tense situation goes from bad to worse on day two when their lesson is interrupted by a call from an independent sexual violence advisor, who Mick insists he doesn’t need to talk to.
Later, back at the Vic, Frankie gets recognised by two people from school who make snide comments about Katy. But while Mick is quick to kick them out, insisting that he won’t have his staff treated in such a way, Frankie is devastated that he wasn’t able to tell them that she’s his daughter.
#Ballum wedding prep
Finally, preparations for the year’s big nuptials continue apace, with Lexi keen to get the table plan sorted for Ben and Callum's wedding.
But there’s the tricky issue of where to sit Phil, especially seeing as he hasn’t yet confirmed whether he’ll be bringing a plus one. When Kat overhears this particular conversation, an atmosphere of awkwardness descends. Can Phil make Kat an official part of his life?
