There’s a big old birthday parting taking place in north London this bank holiday weekend.

Eastern Electrics, which started life as a series of warehouse raves and has since grown into a festival attended by tens of thousands of revellers, is ready to return to the capital for its 2022 edition.

With a floor-filling DJ line-up promising 10 hours of music, and an eight-hour after party to boot, it’s set to be a lively one.

Here’s all you need to know.

When and where is Eastern Electrics?

The festival takes place on Saturday August 27 at Lee Valley Showground in the Waltham Abbey area of north London. It will kick off at midday and run until 10pm, when things move onto the after party — more information on that below.

Who’s on the Eastern Electrics 2022 line-up?

The music is spread across four stages, with a good array of DJ talent on each. Seth Troxler is the biggest name of the Main Stage, with support from the likes of Green Velvet and Hot Since 82.

Over at the Switchyard, Rhadoo, Raresh and Petre Inspirescu will perform solo sets as well as a trio in their RPR Soundsystem guise, with Margaret Dygas and Nicolas Lutz among the other highlights.

Aussie favourite Mall Grab leads the way on the Looking For Trouble stage, while London veterans Horse Meat Disco and Chicago house icon Derrick Carter top the bill inside the Big Top.

Where is the Eastern Electrics 2022 after party?

If 10pm feels like far too much of an early night, then head down to Egg nightclub in King’s Cross for the official after party, which starts at 11pm and runs until 7am. Derrick Carter and Jasper James are the two confirmed acts so far, with more yet to be announced.

You can bundle together tickets for Eastern Electrics and the after party for £69.95, or buy after party tickets separately for a tenner. Resident Advisor is the place to go for both of those.
