easyJet launch five new routes from Liverpool John Lennon Airport

easyJet is set to expand its operations from Liverpool John Lennon Airport with the launch of five new routes.

The budget carrier has announced that starting this winter season, passengers will be able to fly direct from the airport to a variety of destinations including Prague, Marrakech, Malta, Berlin, and Fuerteventura.

Tickets went on sale today (June 11), with flights to Prague commencing three times a week from October 28, Marrakech twice weekly from November 13, Malta twice weekly from December 10, Berlin twice weekly from February 14, and Fuerteventura once a week from February 19.

In describing the appeal of the new destinations, easyJet commented: "For those looking for winter sun, both Fuerteventura and Malta could be contenders. Famed for its beautiful beaches, Malta is situated in the heart of the Mediterranean and therefore offers crystal clear seas to explore while Fuerteventura provides over 150 km of beaches of white sand and turquoise waters."

The airline also noted that "Berlin and Prague look set to appeal to those eyeing a short city break or travelling for business, while Marrakech offers something unique and is sure to be popular with those seeking a vibrant and culturally rich experience."

With these additions, easyJet now operates seven aircraft out of Liverpool, offering flights to 32 destinations and transporting around 2 million passengers annually, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Berlin, Prague and Marrakesh become new year-round routes from Liverpool, offering passengers from across the North West and North Wales the opportunity to explore these destinations with the added benefit of flying direct from Liverpool.

"We are also delighted to welcome routes to Malta and Fuerteventura with easyJet, where there is clear demand for more services from Liverpool. ".

Flights on new routes are now available to book. They are:.

  • Liverpool to Fuerteventura flights will operate once a week on Wednesdays from February 19 with fares from £27.99*

  • Liverpool to Malta flights will operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays from December 10 with fares from £32.99*

  • Liverpool to Prague flights will operate three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from October 28 with fares from £26.99*

  • Liverpool to Marrakech flights will operate twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays from November 13 with fares from £37.99*
