Yahoo News easyJet to launch new route from Manchester Airport to sunny European city with tickets from £36
easyJet has announced a new year-round route from Manchester Airport to Milan, which starts next summer. Flights will operate daily to Milan Linate, starting from March 30, in addition to an existing service to Milan Malpensa, with tickets already on sale starting from just £35.99 one way.
Milan is Italy’s second largest city and is a popular destination for holidaymakers thanks to its rich history, gorgeous architecture and delicious food. Its spectacular cathedral attracts visitors across the globe, while the city is also home to Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper at the Santa Maria delle Grazie Church.
The Italian city is a well-known shopping destination with streets packed full of designer brands. Milan also hosts a semi-annual fashion weeks, joining the likes of Paris, London and New York.
The new flights have been enabled by the airline opening a five-aircraft base at Milan Linate from next spring, following approval by the European Commission for easyJet to be the short haul remedy taker of slots in Milan Linate and Rome Fiumicino, as part of a transaction between ITA Airways and Lufthansa. The new service also boosts connectivity between the North West and Italy, joining existing easyJet services from Manchester to Milan (Malpensa), Naples, Pisa, Rome, Sicily (Catania), Turin and Venice.

Tour operator easyJet holidays will also be launching package holidays across the new route, starting from just £243 per person. easyJet holidays offers three nights at the 4* Klima Hotel Milano Fiere in Milan on Room Only a basis for £243 per person including flights from Manchester on 20 May 2025.
