Easyjet shares a warning to customers as Storm Eowyn affects flights
As Storm Eowyn spurs weather warnings from the Met Office this weekend, EasyJet passengers flying from Stansted are being advised to check their flight tracker. Yellow, amber, and red weather warnings have been issued across the weekend, with Scotland, Ireland, and Wales being largely affected. Flights from Stansted, one of Easyjet’s major hubs, with these destinations may be affected by the weather conditions.
A spokesperson for Easyjet commented: “Due to the severe weather warning in place for today and over the weekend affecting all airlines, some flights to and from parts of the UK are no longer able to operate as planned.
“The safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew is EasyJet’s highest priority and we are doing all we can to mitigate the impact of the weather on our customers, notifying them in advance with their options including a refund and providing hotel accommodation and meals where required.

"We advise customers due to fly with us in the coming days to check our Flight Tracker for the most up to date information and any customers who wish to change their plans can contact our customer service team for their options. While this is outside our control, we are very sorry for the inconvenience caused as a result of the weather.”
Today Edinburgh Airport closed because of the storm, turning one Ryanair flight back to Stansted. Meanwhile, a flight scheduled to depart at 4.10pm this afternoon is delayed for six hours, with a new flight time at 10.05pm.
Poor weather conditions are expected to continue through to Monday. The Met Office predicts that the rain will likely cause travel disruption into next week, as the yellow warning for rain has been forecasted for Monday in Essex as storm Eowyn continues to cause havoc.
