Remember how much you enjoyed La La Land, and how slick the musical numbers looked? How charmed you were by Ryan Gosling and his dashing good looks?

Well, get that image out of your head, because the Oscar-winning musical is getting a Comic Relief make-over with a little help from Ed Balls.

Yes, the Strictly Come Dancing legend is bringing his two left feet back to the BBC for charity.

The 50 year-old former Shadow Chancellor proved a big hit in last year’s ballroom contest, making it beyond Blackpool and occasionally winning over the judges with his efforts.

Balls is set to be joined by the likes of Lenny Henry, Warwick Davis and Miranda Hart in the new dance number, which was filmed on a London road, closed especially for the shoot.

The routine, likely set to La La Land’s joyous opening number Another Day of Sun, is due to air on Comic Relief night, this Friday March 24.

The Red Nose Day broadcast will also include a mini-sequel to Love Actually, written by Richard Curtis.

The segment will feature several members of the original cast, including Hugh Grant, Andrew Lincoln, Keira Knightley, Colin Firth, and Martine McCutcheon.

James Cordon will present a Carpool Karaoke special with Take That, while Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders will debut a host of new sketches.

Friday, BBC One, from 7pm
