Former Labour leader Ed Miliband has mocked David Cameron and brought back the 'Ed Stone' in his Christmas card.

The MP for Doncaster North referenced the former prime minister's now widely shared 2015 tweet in which he said Britain “faced a simple and inescapable choice – stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband”.

Mr Miliband also made reference to his 2015 election campaign by rolling out the 'Ed Stone'.

The card showed Mr Miliband peeking out from behind the stone, wearing a Christmas jumper with the words ‘Merry Christmas’ written above him.

Quoting Mr Cameron's tweet, Mr Miliband wrote on the stone: “A better Xmas, a better new year.

“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice. Stability and strong government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband. Happy holidays!”

Mr Miliband’s signature then appears on the bottom of the stone.
