Yahoo News Ed Sheeran announces surprise Eminem collaboration
Ed Sheeran has revealed that he has collaborated with Eminem for a song on the rapper’s new album.
The singer confessed that he had struggled to keep the exciting news a secret from his fans, with Ed also revealing that Eminem was one of his inspirations when he first started writing music.

Posting a photo of the tracklist for Eminem’s ninth studio album, ‘Revival’, on Instagram, Ed pointed out the track ‘River’, writing in the caption: “I’ve had to hold onto this secret for a long time, but since it’s just been announced I can now tell you all.
“I did a song with Eminem for his new album Revival, which is out on the 15th of December.
“He is one of the reasons I started writing songs, and was such a pleasure to work with him.
“The song is called River, hope you like it. Yay x [sic]”.

The tracklist also shows that Eminem has worked with a number of other stars on the forthcoming album, including Pink, Alicia Keys, and Skylar Grey.
Eminem also worked with Beyonce for the album’s opening song ‘Walk On Water’, with the collaboration being revealed shortly after Ed released a special duet of his hit song ‘Perfect’ alongside Beyonce.
Last week, Ed’s fans were left in a tizzy when he announced that he had worked with Bey, with Ed himself admitting that he couldn’t believe that the singer had agreed to record the vocals for a new version of the romantic track.

He said at the time: “It’s something I kinda did just to see whether she would say yes. I just wanted to see what would happen. I can’t believe it, to be honest.
“It’s a really weird thing, it was just me and her and an engineer, which was very cool. To be one-on-one with someone you respect that much and be able to craft the song the way you envision without input from anybody else… that’s rare.”
