We can imagine that one of the things you do not want to happen during any kind of performance is to be overcome by a sudden need to go to the toilet, especially if you're performing in front of 60,000 people.

Well, this is exactly what happened to poor old Ed Sheeran during his concert in Cardiff's Principality Stadium on Friday night (June 22). However, what's worse than having this happen to you once? Yep, you guessed it: twice.

Yep, Ed Sheeran needed to stop his Cardiff concert on two occasions, so that he could quickly pop to the loo while his very patient audience waited for him to do his business.

He first stopped his show halfway through a performance of 'Galway Girl', telling his devoted fans that he "needed a pee". Upon returning to the stage, the musician said: "I've been gigging since I was 14 and I've never done that, and now I do it in front of 60,000 people."

If that wasn't bad enough, three songs later, whilst performing his big hit 'Photograph', he had to rush off again for another impromptu loo break. Luckily for him, the sold-out crowd didn't make a fuss and just stood there patiently. What an understanding crowd they are.

Here are some reactions to Ed's double toilet trouble:
