Ed Sheeran goes to 'favourite' Birmingham restaurant for third helping and offers 'kind gesture'
Ed Sheeran showed up to his 'favourite' restaurant in Birmingham last night (Sunday, September 22) for a third helping of food ahead of a surprise appearance at the Utilita Arena. The Shape of You singer was in town for an unannounced performance alongside Punjabi star Diljit Dosanjh during the latter's sold-out Birmingham gig.
Celebrity hang-out restaurant Asha's said that Ed returned to their restaurant for the third time, this time to enjoy a curry alongside Brummie rapper pal Jaykae. The pair ordered spicy dishes before surprising boss Nouman Farooqui with a touching gesture.
Nouman told BirminghamLive: "We were happy to have Ed visit for the third time. He was dining with Jaykae and they ordered spicy butter chicken and a lamb vindaloo.

"He really enjoyed it said it was his favourite Indian restaurant. He visited after soundcheck at the Utilita Arena before he went on stage with Diljit in the second half of the concert.
"Ed was so kind as to offer us a pair of tickets for the sold-out show which I was really grateful for. I gave them to a couple of members of my staff who are big fans, so they could enjoy it."
While in town, Ed also visited The Roost pub in Small Heath, stopping to snap photographs with fans. He visited the Birmingham City pub in the past, singing with punters back in 2022.
This time, the pub shared that the singer signed a shirt for them, writing: "The Roost #1 pub in Britain!"
