Ed Sheeran has returned to social media admitting he has been through "turbulent times" in his personal life.
The Celestial singer - who welcomed his second daughter with wife Cherry Seaborn in May last year, as well as battling a copyright lawsuit over his hit Shape Of You in the High Court - apologised to fans for not engaging with them online for a few years.
Sheeran, 31, said in a video message: "'I realise I haven't been that engaged in my social media or fanbase over the last couple of years and the things that have been posted on this account might have got a bit boring, I'm sorry, that's my fault.

"The reason I'm making this video, just being totally honest, I've had some turbulent things happening in my personal life so I just didn't really feel like being online and pretending to be something I'm not when I wasn't really feeling like that.
"I know that sounds weird, but hence I'm making this video to say things are looking up and I'm back online.
"So you know, weird s**t is gonna start being posted here."
He then added: "I've made this video about 50 f**king times I'm not making another one!"
The clip, captioned, "Back in the bitz", shows him walking around outdoors in a wooded area wearing a white t-shirt.
Sheeran announced in December 2019 he announced he was taking a break after two years of "non-stop" touring.
He and wife Seaborn announced the arrival of their first child, daughter Lyra Antarctica, in September 2020, and a second baby in May 2022.
The Bad Habits singer released new album = in 2021 but has continued to stay out of the spotlight.
He has laid low at his estate in Framlingham, Suffolk, where he grew up, and now owns a number of properties including his own private pub in a converted barn.
The Castle On The Hill singer has been caught up in numerous planning disputes over his estate, including over a kidney-shaped ‘wildlife pond’, which local residents opposed his application to build, on the grounds he would use it as a swimming pool.
