You'd think getting a spare 15 minutes with Ed Sheeran these days is merely impossible - given his crazy record-breaking global success and all.

But apparently not for James Blunt, who revealed he didn't have a problem. In fact, he got a little Sheeran ski getaway instead.

Earlier on tonight's One Show, Blunt appeared on the sofa telling some very funny and heart-warming stories that went on during the production of his new album.

The Afterlove - set to be released this Friday - had a helping hand from the king of 'lovey-dovey' music himself, Mr Ed Sheeran.

Blunt told The One Show how Sheeran had helped refresh his songwriting skills, in exchange for some coaching on the slopes.

"I've worked with a guy you might have heard of? Ed Sheeran?" Blunt asked hosts Matt Baker and Angela Scanlon.

"We had a great trade. I was his ski instructor (I taught him how to ski). And at night he taught me how to write songs."

It's no secret that Ed Sheeran and James Blunt have a blossoming bromance. Shall we remind ourselves of the moment Ed jokingly blamed Blunt for his famous face injury?

And we can only imagine their bond will grow stronger, as James will be heading over to the States as the support act for Ed's North American tour.

Just think of all the bantz.
