Ed Sheeran to appear on James Corden's Carpool Karaoke

Just when we think that Ed Sheeran couldn’t possibly give us any more this year, he has revealed that he plans to join James Corden for Carpool Karaoke before 2017 is out.

To be honest, we reckon we need to start preparing ourselves from now.

Ladies and gentlemen, Ed Sheeran is BACK.

The star has only just returned to the limelight following his 12-month hiatus and speaking on Capital FM last night he admitted that he has a busy schedule ahead.

Ed explained: “There’s so many things I’m not allowed to talk about. On Friday I literally had my manager sit me down and be like, ‘Don’t talk about this, don’t talk about this’ so I’m really dodging…

“I’ve been in touch with James Corden about this for three years because he wanted me to do the first one [Carpool Karaoke] and I just wasn’t around and I can confirm that at some point this year I will be doing a carpool karaoke.”

Ed will be joining the likes of Britney Spears, One Direction and Michelle Obama in the Carpool Karaoke hotseat.

And he went on to add that he hopes to break the tradition of artists singing their own songs, sharing: “I know the whole thing is singing to your tune, but I think I’d feel a bit awkward singing to my song.

“I think I will just want to put on some Biggie… Well I want to put on something really, like really awkward and dirty, like Biggie’s song ‘Big Booty’ and just hear James Corden sing along to that.”

Needless to say, we are hoping that Ed gets his wish.

Ed has a busy year ahead.

As well as Carpool Karaoke, Ed will be headlining Glastonbury Festival this year and he is also hotly rumoured to be performing at both the Grammy and Brit Awards.

After taking an entire year off, it sounds like Ed is going to be doubly busy in 2017.
