Eddie Izzard has said she always wanted breasts and may physically transition one day after revealing she wants to be “based in girl mode”.

The comedian and actor, who has cross-dressed for stand-up performances since beginning her comedy career, recently opened up about being gender fluid and said she wants to use she/her pronouns from now on.

Talking about her decision in an interview in The Guardian, Izzard said that she has “had boob envy since my teens”.

“Just when teenage girls of my age were going ‘I want boobs’, I was thinking, yeah me too,” said the star.

“But I couldn’t say it. They talk about penis envy, and I believe some women suffer penis envy. I cannot for the life of me get my head around this.

"But yes, I’ve always had breasts envy.”

sked if she will ever physically transition, Izzard, 59, said she “might do”.

“I feel that boy mode has had a good innings in this one life that we get,” the Ocean's Thirteen actor told the publication.

The star revealed during an appearance on the Sky Arts series Portrait Artist Of The Year last year that she was gender fluid and that she wanted to be based in “girl mode” going forwards.

The political activist and marathon runner added that it “feels great”.
