Eddie Redmayne and Adele set for Oliver! remake?

From Digital Spy

It's fair to say that Adele is at the top of her game singing-wise, but we're still a little surprised to hear that she might be making a career move to the big screen.

Yep, according to a report in The Sun, Adele has been approached to take on the role of Nancy in an upcoming Oliver! remake alongside Eddie Redmayne as Fagin.

So please, sir – can we make this happen?

Mind you, we guess it's not that shocking – after all, both Adele and even Eddie (remember Les Mis?) would surely be in their element performing in a musical.

Digital Spy has reached out to Adele and Eddie's reps for comment. We've yet to hear back but can only assume they're reviewing the situation...

If the rumours do turn out to be true, then at least Eddie would consider himself at home performing in the famous Charles Dickens adaptation.

While appearing on The Graham Norton Show a couple of years ago, Eddie revealed that pretty much "everyone in England" has wanted to play someone in Oliver! at some point.

"I only got the part as workhouse boy number 43, but I did an audition and I still remember the dance," he added.

Sounds like he'd do anything, alright.
