Eddie Redmayne Handed Out Free Wands To 6,500 Harry Potter Fans
Wowzer, just when we think that we couldn’t love Eddie Redmayne any more he goes and does something completely wonderful for his fans.
We mean, remember that time it was revealed that he sometimes pays for his fans’ rent?
The 34-year-old actor has jokingly been compared to Oprah Winfrey after handing out wands to every single person in Hall H on Saturday at Comic Con San Diego.
That’s all 6,500 people.
Eddie plays Newt Scamander in the upcoming Harry Potter spin-off movie Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them and wasn’t about to let his dedicated followers walk away empty handed, kicking off the talk by wandering through the crowd to give out the gifts and leading the audience in casting a spell as the house lights went up.
He certainly knows how to make an appearance, doesn’t he?
Taking to Twitter, overwhelmed audience members gushed about Eddie’s grand gesture as they admitted that they were pretty overwhelmed from just being in the father-of-one’s presence:
