EDF issuing customers free £50 payments with some set for 'multiple'
EDF Energy is giving customers a chance to snag unlimited £50 discounts on their energy bills. All you have to do is refer your friends to switch to EDF, which is rivalled by the likes of OVO, EON, Octopus and British Gas in the UK.
EDF said: "Who doesn't like a bit of extra cash in their pocket? As an EDF customer, you can spread the savings! Refer your friends to us and you'll both get £50 off your energy bill." The energy firm also said "sharing is caring".
"It's super easy - just head to your MyAccount, find your exclusive link, and get sharing! When anyone signs up using your referral link, in line with our terms and conditions, both you and your friend will get £50 credit on your EDF account," it said.

"If you’re not a customer with us yet, why not get a quote and sign up to one of our fantastic fixed tariffs?" You'll earn a reward for every friend that signs up, and once you have your link, you can email it, WhatsApp it, share it on your socials - whatever works best for you.
However, there are a few restrictions on who you share your referral link to and how you share your referral link. EDF said: "Once your friend's successfully switched to us, and their first Direct Debit's been paid, we’ll automatically credit both of your EDF accounts. It typically takes around four weeks from when your friend joins, for your account to be credited (it can take longer if anything delays their switch). We'll send you both an email to let you know the credit's been applied to your EDF account."
"If your friend uses your referral link but is unsure if they want to switch straight away, they will be emailed a copy of their quote from us so they can review it in their own time and decide to switch later if they want to. If they decide they want to go ahead with their switch, then they will need to complete a new quote using your referral link, this way you’ll both receive the credit automatically. If your friend forgets to use your referral link, please contact us and we can apply the account credit manually, once their first Direct Debit payment has been taken (in line with our terms and conditions)," it said.
