Last Night In Soho, the next film from Baby Driver director Edgar Wright, has been delayed to 2021.

Originally slated for release on 25 September 2020, the psychological horror will now hit cinemas on 23 April, 2021.

The Hot Fuzz filmmaker announced the news on Twitter, sharing a new look at the film featuring Anya Taylor-Joy and Matt Smith, with a caption that confirmed the movie was currently unfinished due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Emma star Taylor-Joy also shared the news on her Instagram, with a cryptic caption that suggests the film has a period setting.

“Once upon a time in a 60’s telephone booth... haunted by someone else’s past, but we’ll see you in the future...” her caption reads.

The film, which also stars Thomasin McKenzie, Diana Rigg and Terrence Stamp, has been written by Wright with 1917 co-writer Krysty Wilson-Cairns.

In 2019 Wilson-Cairns told Yahoo that Edgar Wright fans will be pleased with the film.

“[Last Night in Soho] is fun, it’s dark, it’s twisted, it’s thrilling, it’s everything you want from an Edgar Wright movie, and something really different,” the screenwriter said.

“I’ve seen early cuts of it and I was blown away by it.”

Last Night In Soho comes to cinemas in 2021.
