Edgewood Fire Blazes in San Francisco Bay Area

The Edgewood fire burning in Northern California’s San Mateo County was 20 percent contained on Wednesday, June 22, a day after some residents were temporarily forced to evacuate.

This footage shows smoke from the 20-acre brushfire rising in Redwood City, about 25 miles south of San Francisco. A helicopter can be seen circling around the source of the smoke.

The Cal Fire Santa Cruz unit reported that the fire was 20 percent contained early on Wednesday morning. Evacuation orders were lifted on Tuesday night, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office. Credit: Christopher Nguyen via Storyful
