Edinburgh A720 City Bypass crash triggers huge delays for drivers at busy junction

Edinburgh drivers were warned of delays on Monday afternoon, following a collision on the city bypass.

The incident was reported at around 3.15pm, and is understood to have involved two vehicles at the Calder Junction. Traffic Scotland said delays of around 19 minutes were to be expected, with the road restricted westbound.

Emergency services were on the scene, with traffic "slowing" in the area. The condition of those involved is not currently known.

Traffic Scotland said: "UPDATE 15:24.

"A720 - Calder Junction. Road remains RESTRICTED due to a two vehicle collision headed westbound on the Edinburgh City bypass

"Traffic passing but slow. Delays of approx. 19 minutes."

Police Scotland have been approached for comment.
