Edinburgh A720 City Bypass 'incident' triggers huge tailbacks for drivers

Edinburgh drivers have been warned following an incident on the bypass on Sunday afternoon.

The A720 Westbound at Straiton is currently facing huge delays following a broken down vehicle causing traffic to build up in the area.

The incident was reported at around 2.35pm and delays of approximately 13 minutes are expected.

Traffic Scotland have warned motorists to use alternative routes.

A statement on social media reads: "#A720 Straiton - Lothianburn. #A720 Westbound is currently experiencing delays of approx 13 MINUTES due to a broken down vehicle.

"Please use alternative routes. @SETrunkRoads @edintravel."
