Edinburgh A720 collision sees emergency services on the scene with traffic 'slowing'

A collision in Edinburgh saw emergency services race to the scene on Tuesday evening.

The incident is understood to have happened at around 5.17pm. Drivers were warned of 'restrictions' westbound on the A720 Calder bypass due to a collision.

The condition of those involved is not currently known.

Traffic Scotland posted to X: "NEW 5.17.

"A720, Calder. Restricted Westbound on the Calder Off-Slip due to a collision. Emergency services are on route.

"Traffic slowing on the approach."

As of 5:28pm, Traffic Scotland stated emergency services were on the scene with traffic seeing approximately a 28 minute delay.

Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
