Edinburgh Christmas Market: How much it costs to ride the attractions
The Edinburgh Christmas markets are in full swing after opening on Friday.
Thousands descended on the annual extravaganza to get a taste of Christmas with mulled wine and roasted chestnuts.
Along with the stalls, street food, and beverages, East Princes Street Gardens are also home to popular fairground rides. Visitors are also reminded that it is card payment only.

The family-favourite Big Wheel has returned as has the stomach-churning Star Flyer which towers over the city centre. The Helter Skeler is also nestled within the markets, right next to the food stalls.
The good news is that EH postcode residents with proof of address can save a whopping 20 percent off rides and attractions. That means if you live in the city itself or even as far out as East Lothian, Midlothian, or West Lothian you can save some pennies.
