Edinburgh Christmas markets to close sites ahead of gale force winds in capital
Edinburgh Christmas Markets will be closed on Monday, November 25, as high winds are set to batter the city.
Taking to social media, the organisers behind the festive events said it was a "precautionary decision" to shut the sites for the duration of the day.
Both St Andrew Square and West Princes Street Gardens will be closed. It's hoped East princes Street Gardens and the Ice Rink will be able to open in the evening depending on the conditions.
