Edinburgh City Bypass between Dreghorn and Hermiston Gait has been closed in both directions.

Police Scotland said the move was taken after a report of concern for a person.

The force warned motorists to expect severe delays along the route at around 6.12pm on Wednesday November 20.

A statement shared on X by Police Scotland Edinburgh stated: "The Edinburgh City Bypass is closed in both directions between Dreghorn and Hermiston Gait following a report of concern for a person.

The City Bypass has since reopened.
