Edinburgh driver stopped by cops for breaking major rule and putting others in danger

Edinburgh road police officers stopped a car in its tracks after noticing the state of its wheels.

The driver was stopped when cops spotted it breaking the major rule. A photo shared on social media appeared to show the wheel completely wrecked.

Road Policing Edinburgh said on X that driving in such a condition puts the driver and other road users in danger.

The vehicle has been banned from use and the driver has been reported.

Edinburgh Road Policing said: "Officers from the NationalMotorcycleUnit stopped this car earlier in Edinburgh. It should be clear to any driver that using a vehicle in this condition places both the driver and other road users in danger.

"The vehicle was prohibited from use and the driver reported to @COPFS."
