Edinburgh fire crews swoop on tenement building blaze as busy road closed off
Firefighters raced to a tenement building in Edinburgh on Friday evening, November 15.
Four crews, including three pump appliances and one height appliance was mobilised to extinguish a ' small blaze' within the common stair of the building on Polwarth Gardens.
Scottish Fire and Rescue were made aware around 3.45pm and left the scene around 5.14pm.

It's not known if there have been any injuries. In pictures seen by Edinburgh Live, the road was closed while firefighters handled the incident.

An SFRS spokesperson said: "The call came in at 3.45pm. We mobilised three appliances and one height appliance.
"It was a small fire within the common stair of the building. We left the scene at 17.14pm."
