Liverpool comedian Adam Rowe has won the award for the funniest joke of this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

He has been awarded Dave’s Funniest Joke of the Fringe for a gag about the Jobcentre, from his show Undeniable.

The joke is: “Working at the Jobcentre has to be a tense job - knowing that if you get fired, you still have to come in the next day.”
