Edinburgh itsu which had opening queues round the corner announces sudden closure
A well loved and popular restaurant, itsu, located at St James' Quarter has closed its doors suddenly.
The eatery opened in 2022 to great fanfare with hundreds queueing outside of the city centre mall to get a first peak at the popular sushi franchise.
Sadly, the doors have now been closed with no reopening date in sight due to a complicated franchise agreement between the company and HWS Ltd, according to the restaurant chain.

The restaurant at St James' was one of three to be franchised by HWS Ltd and the details around the lease and ownership rights still need to be ironed out due to the administration process.
"The itsu here in Edinburgh is closed and will hopefully fully reopen soon. We are sorry for the inconvenience," a statement read on the door.
