Edinburgh locals gutted as dog grooming shop announces 'bittersweet' closure

An Edinburgh dog grooming shop has announced their closure, as the owner looks to move on to "exciting passions."

Teddy's Dog Grooming, which sits on Montagu Terrace, will close their doors for the last time at the end of October. Owner Mark thanked locals for their "incredible support", urging them to stop in one last time.

Residents in the area were gutted by the news, branding it the "only groomers to go to".

In a sign posted in the window, Mark said: "After 15 succesful years we are saying goodbye to our wonderful customers!

"I will be moving on to pursue exciting passions in life! Thank you for your support and being part of Teddy's!"

On Instagram, he added: "Teddy's will be closing at the end of October.

"The business has thrived, and still does, and I am grateful for the success we've achieved together. This decision comes with mixed emotions as I will dearly miss the wonderful dogs, and the joy they've brought into my days.

"I'll be in the shop throughout October, for final appointments, so please feel free to stop by and say hello."

Locals were quick to comment with regret at the closure. One said: "Oh no! Only groomers to go to. All the best!"
