Edinburgh M8 collision sees emergency services on the scene with traffic 'slowing'

A collision in Edinburgh saw emergency services race to the scene on Monday evening.

The incident is understood to have happened at around 5.30pm. Drivers were warned of traffic 'slowing' on the M8 by junction two.

The condition of those involved is not currently known.

Traffic Scotland posted to X: "NEW 5.38pm.

"M8, Junction 2. Restricted Westbound prior to Junction 2 due to a collision.

"Emergency services are at scene. Traffic slowing on the approach back from the A720 - Approx 10 minute delay."

Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
