Edinburgh M8 'incident' triggers huge rush hour delays as drivers warned

The Edinburgh M8 is currently restricted after a road traffic incident on Friday afternoon.

Around 4.30pm on November 22, the road near Hermiston Gait Roundabout eastbound was partially blocked with emergency services racing to the scene.

It's unknown how many vehicles were involved or if there have been any injuries.

Traffic Scotland warned motorists to "approach with caution".

Writing on X, Traffic Scotland said: "The m8 is restricted, eastbound, on approach to Junction 1 - Hermiston Gair Roundabout, du to a road traffic incident. Drivers should use caution on approach."

Police Scotland have been approached for comment.
