Edinburgh man, 46, found dead in property after emergency services cordon off street

A 46-year-old man has been found dead in a residential property in the capital.

Officers were called to a report of concern for a person at a home on 9.40am on Dundee Street on Thursday, November 21.

Emergency services attended the site but sadly the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Scotland said the death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.40am on Thursday, 21 November, 2024 we were called to a report of concern for a person at a property on Dundee Street in Edinburgh.

"Officers attended and a 46-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Dundee Street was partially cordoned off for a number of hours while emergency services attended the incident which took place close to Fountain Park.
