An Edinburgh mum says her son is 'afraid to leave the house' after being 'terrorised' by a gang of yobs.

The woman shared footage of two youths approaching a block of flats near Pilton on Saturday, September 21, before appearing to throw two stones at her son's windows.

She says the behaviour and other incidents are regular occurrences and has left her son scared to leave the house on his own having suffered an attack in the past which has left him with PTSD.

The mum says recent incidents prompted them to install a camera on the outside of the flat which captured one incident on Saturday as the two male youths can be seen running away after hurling stones at the property.

It is understood the incident, along with others, have not been reported to the police. The woman, speaking anonymously, said: "This happens daily and my son is preparing to become a dad for the first time."

The woman claims her son was attacked recently which was the result of a 'misunderstanding' with neighbours which has sparked several incidents including the one captured on camera on Saturday.

She continued: "My son has severe PTSD and will not leave the house at all unless myself o his older brother goes to get him in our cars. Kids congregate every night and during the day. They just do not stop."
