Edinburgh patient rushed to hospital after 'medical emergency' in city centre
A person was rushed to the Royal Infirmary following a 'medical emergency' at St Andrew Square.
At around 12:40pm on November 29, paramedics were spotted dealing with the incident which consequently interrupted public transport via tram.
An image from the scene shows two ambulances parked on the pavement not too far from Edinburgh's bus station as pedestrians watched worryingly.

The Scottish Ambulance team dispatched one ambulance and one paramedic response unit (PRU) to the scene. The cause of the incident is still unknown.
A Scottish Ambulance spokesperson said: “We received a call at 12:37 hours to attend an incident on St Andrew Square, Edinburgh. We dispatched one ambulance and one paramedic response unit (PRU) to the scene. One patient was transported to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.”
One concerned passer-by said: "I was just walking past and saw the ambulances there.
"The screen at the tram stop said it was a medical emergency so I just hope everyone is alright."
