Edinburgh pensioner vanishes as police launch desperate appeal to trace him

A Scots pensioner has vanished in Edinburgh sparking a desperate police appeal to trace him.

Cops are trying to track missing David Duncan who last seen in the Little France area of the capital. The 82-year-old was reported missing from Old Dalkeith Road around 3.45pm this afternoon.

Officers described him as around 5ft 8ins, slim to medium build with short, grey hair. When last seen he was wearing a blue polo shirt, light brown chino style trousers and black trainers with a white sole.

David has connections in the Mountcastle area of the city.

Inspector Kenny Robertson said: “We need to make sure David is safe and well and we are asking anyone who has seen him or knows where he is to get in touch.

“He was last seen walking in the direction of Cameron Toll shopping centre and we are asking people in the area to keep a look out for David.”

"Anyone who can help is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 2595 of Friday, 6 September, 2024."
