Edinburgh police and paramedics race to incident on busy city centre street

Edinburgh emergency services swooped on a busy city centre street on Thursday evening following an incident.

A police van and an ambulance were spotted on North Bridge at around 9pm on July 11. The vehicles were parked outside a Pizza Hut restaurant.

The exact nature of the incident is unknown at this time. It's also unclear how many people were involved.

An eyewitnesses past the scene and said police were still present at around 9.15pm.

Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.
