Edinburgh police raid properties after residents raise 'drug use' concerns
Edinburgh police officers in the south-west of Edinburgh carried out a number of raids in residential areas.
This week, Police Scotland confirmed officers with 'high visibility' and some in plain clothes carried out patrols in Gorgie and Dalry following reports from worried locals.
Residents and business owners in the area raised their concerns regarding drug use in the area.

Many properties were visited and three people have been reported for drug offences, with one adding possession of a knife charge.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers, along with colleagues from the Community Improvement Partnership, have spent the week in the Gorgie / Dalry area in high visibility and plain clothes patrols following concerns from residents and businesses about drug use in the area.
"Numerous properties visited and Crimestoppers literature put in stairwells. Several searches have been carried out with three persons being reported for drug offences, with one adding a possession of a knife charge.
"Lots of engagement with the Community. Two drugs warrants were executed following information provided by the Community."
