Edinburgh private hire driver stopped for flouting one major rule on Leith Walk

An Edinburgh private hire vehicle was halted on Leith Walk after police spotted the driver breaking one crucial rule.

Road police were patrolling the city centre on Saturday night, June 22, before pulling over one driver. The motorist was spotted performing a prohibited U-turn on the busy stretch of road.

The police issued the driver with a £50 conditional offer (CO) in respect of the offence. It comes as police continue to crackdown on road crime across Edinburgh.
