Edinburgh Queensferry Crossing multi-vehicle smash triggers huge rush hour delays

Edinburgh drivers were warned on Tuesday afternoon following a crash on Queensferry Crossing.

Around 5.20pm on January 28, the outside lane Northbound was restricted due to the multi-vehicle incident.

The exact number of vehicles involved is unclear at this time. It's also not known if there have been any injuries.

Road users were advised to expect longer wait times with huge tailbacks in the area.

Traffic Scotland wrote on X: "Outside lane RESTRICTED due to a multi-vehicle collision

"Road users are advised to expect longer travel times and tailbacks. Updates as we get them."

Police Scotland have been approached for comment.
