Edinburgh restaurant forced to close due to emergency gas leak outside premises

An Edinburgh restaurant has been forced to close for the night after a gas leak was detected outside their premises.

Fin & Grape, located on Colinton Road, took to social media to alert their customers and anyone looking to potentially dine at their establishment on the evening of Thursday January 16 of the sudden closure.

They explained a gas leak had been detected outside of the restaurant and as a result they had no option but to cease operating for the night however they stated they hope to reopen tomorrow on Friday 17.

SGN are understood to be on site and are working to resolve the issue.

In a statement shared by Fin & Grape on Instagram, they said: "We have had to close tonight due to a gas leak outside the restaurant. We apologise for any inconvenience.

"SGN are working hard to repair the issue so we are hopeful that we will be able to reopen tomorrow as usual.
