Edinburgh runners take on half marathon and brave snowy conditions at beauty spot

A group of runners were filmed taking on a half marathon in Edinburgh despite a heavy snow storm.

The Edinburgh Marathon Morun took place on Saturday, November 23, alongside Storm Bert which brought with it wintery weather conditions.

The clip, which was shared on TikTok, shows the brave runners battling on with the marathon around Holyrood Park. A heavy blanket of snow surrounds the racers as they push through wrapped up in jackets and hats.

Heather, who shared the moment, captioned the video: "Got humbled by people running a half marathon while I struggled to stay upright walking in the snow".

The clip which collected over 1,000 likes and 12,000 views, also got many comments from people who shared their thoughts on the brave athletes.

One person said: "I mean that's true dedication. I would have woken up, seen the snow and bailed on that for sure."

Another person commented: "I went out on a walk slipping all over the place and the runners past me, I was so humbled."
