Edinburgh set for dreich and chilly start to week as temperatures to plummet
Autumnal weather is finally here to stay with the capital set for some disappointing weather to close out September.
Many Edinburgh residents feel as though they were robbed of a summer with a rather depressing run of weather throughout June, July and August.
There was some good news this past week with temperatures climbing above 20C and the sun shining through Monday to Wednesday.

Unfortunately this has given way to misty and rainy conditions on Saturday September 21 and Sunday 22.
Sadly the trend is set to continue with showers drenching the capital next week.

Monday 23 starts off relatively overcast but it is expected to remain dry throughout the day with temperatures to peak at 13C.
Meteorologists at the BBC predict Tuesday, September, 24 will be a complete washout with rain battering the city for the entirety of the day while temperatures will drop further to highs of 11C.
Showers continue into Wednesday, September 25, with another wet day on the cards - temperatures will peak at 10C.
Thursday, September 26, is an almost carbon copy of Wednesday so it will be worthwhile to keep an umbrella handy.
There is some positive news as we move into the weekend as forecasters believe the rain will die away but temperatures will still struggle to break beyond 10C.
Friday 27 and Saturday 28 will be overcast but it will be mostly dry.

Sunday 29 will see some clear spells and sunny weather but it will still feel a bit chilly as temperatures are set to peak at 11C. You can view the forecast in full, here.
