Edinburgh set for huge motoring festival with live stunts and vintage cars

Edinburgh is set for the return of the Scottish Festival of Motoring, bringing live stunts and vintage cars.

The event kicks off at the Royal Highland Centre on July 14, with everything from bike demonstrations to live music and exhibitions. A range of vehicles, including supercars and trucks will be on display.

Kids heading along will also be able to get involved with face painting, bouncy castles and some "special" appearance.

Guinness World Record holder and stunt champion Jonny Davies will be showing off his incredible motorcycle skills. Additionally, youngsters from 10-years-old can take part in a junior driving experience in a Mini Cooper.

A spokesperson for the festival said: "Back for its fourth great year, the Scottish Festival of Motoring returns to the Royal Highland Centre on Sunday, July 14, welcoming enthusiasts of all vehicle types to an annual celebration of all things motoring.

"The Scottish Festival of Motoring 2024, in partnership with Road Safety Scotland and in association with Carwow, is one of the largest motoring events in Scotland, with a host of attractions and a jam-packed schedule of entertainment planned for the day. From Supercars and bike demonstrations to stunt shows, live music, exhibitions, passenger experiences, a trade village, food outlets and a dedicated free indoor kids zone make this the perfect summer day out for the whole family.

"British & Scottish Stunt Champion, Guinness World Record holder and multiple event winner Jonny Davies will be showing his incredible skills as a stunt motorcyclist. Supercars are set to be a huge hit with ride-along experiences and stunt shows giving enthusiasts a chance to get up close and personal with the cars of their dreams."
