,Former X Factor star Diana Vickers is set to portray Gwyneth Paltrow in a musical dramatisation of the actress' infamous ski trial, premiering in Edinburgh.

The show, titled Wish You Well, recounts the 2023 court case which followed an accident at Utah's Deer Valley Resort in 2016. Terry Sanderson accused Paltrow of causing him severe damage, including multiple broken ribs.

He was seeking £300,000 in damages. Paltrow counterclaimed for just one dollar claiming it was the 76-year-old who collided with her, reports the Mirror.

While the public was keenly following the televised court proceedings, Paltrow was cleared of all blame. Memorable from the trial was when, at its conclusion, Paltrow whispered: "I wish you well" in Sanderson's ear - remarks that were alternately dubbed "iconic" and "pure troll behaviour".

Diana ignited fan excitement when she posted about landing the role on Instagram, prompting one follower to comment: "This sounds so made up but I'm obsessed."
