Edinburgh Trams chaos as Range Rover blocks tracks triggering huge delays
An Edinburgh resident captured the moment a Range Rover blocked the tram line triggering tailbacks on Leith Walk.
Around 11.45am on January 17, the vehicle halted on the tracks blocking traffic for "over half an hour".
Taking to X, Edinburgh Trams confirmed services were impacted and were only running between Edinburgh Airport and Balfour Street.

Lothian buses were also forced to put diversions in place between Leith Walk and Duke Street. Passengers were diverted via London Road and Easter Road.
One resident told Edinburgh Live: "Leith Walk has been blocked for half an hour now because someone can't park.
"Traffic looks like it's backed up right to the top of the walk."

Edinburgh Trams previously said: "Due to a vehicle blocking the track near Balfour Street, trams are only running between Edinburgh Airport and Balfour Street.
"There is a ticket acceptance in place with Lothian Buses."
Lothian Buses said: "Due to a road closure buses are unable to serve Leith Walk and Duke Street and are instead diverted via London Road and Easter Road until further notice."
